Sally Goodacre

I started patchwork and quilting in about 1993 when I attended a course at Suffolk College entitled 'Quilt in a Week'.  I made my  first log cabin quilt and was hooked.  In 1994 I joined and exhibited regularly with Heritage Quilters making traditional quilts and hangings.   From there I attended Otley College to complete City and Guilds in Patchwork and Quilting in 2003.  In 2005 I joined Majyk Scraps and my work has developed in various directions of contemporary and modern styles.  I enjoy the challenges set within the group.

I very much enjoy studying textiles and have visited Pennsylvania to see Amish quilters and last year went to India on a textile and craft tour in Gujrat and Rajasthan.

I run a very busy Bed and Breakfast through Farm Stay, Nationwide Bed and Breakfast and Suffolk Tourism.  My husband has recently renovated part of a cow shed which I use as a studio and where some of my work is on display.  I hope to use the studio not only for myself but also for residential workshops.
